Xolo has launched its low-budget 4G smartphone Era 2X at a starting price tag of Rs. 6,666 in Indian market. The phone comes as the direct successor of the Xolo Era 1X and it will be exclusively sold through online retail website Flipkart from 9th January.
With the arrival of Jio, demands for 4G phones have shot up in the country. While a few number of phone manufacturers are offering 4G phones at low price, the lava subsidiary Xolo’s attempt is expected to grab attention and fetch some good sales figure. The entry level smartphone comes with impressive features and value-for-money.
It gets an all-plastic body and very interestingly, there is a fingerprint scanner positioned at the back of the device. That’s something, which makes this phone bit premium looking in its segment. No wonder, this feature will be its USP at this price point. The fingerprint scanner will ensure better safety and work to serve functions like tap to talk and capture photo as well. Also, the users can lock and unlock apps by using this.
On the spec-list, the Xolo Era 2X comes with a 5-inch HD IPS display and powered by a 1.25 GHz quad-core MediaTek processor. It is available in two different variants based on RAM, as there is a 2 GB and a 3 GB Ram variant on offer. Apart from that, a 16 GB internal memory space comes with this phone. While the 3 GB RAM variant is priced at Rs. 7,499.
The phone comes with dual SIM configurations and 4G LTE (VoLTE-ready) connectivity as well. It runs on Android Marshmallow and the device is powered by a 2,500 mAh battery, which is claimed to offer up to 14 days of standby time while fully charged. Speaking about the camera, this phone comes with an 8 megapixel rear shooter and a 5 megapixel front unit as well.
